Amy and Dan

What a beautiful bride…
What a handsome couple…
"What a great wedding…what a great day….what a great family…", that’s what I heard all day long when Amy and Daniel married on July 8th.

That didn’t even include the Ah(s) and Wow(s) at the reception!

Our day started with Nestor at Marie’s new home in Wayne.

He always gets the best job of photographing the bride, the bridesmaids and the bride’s family getting ready. This time not only did he have a beautiful bride but he had the great location shots within the house, especially the curved entrance stairways.

I went to Dan’s house for the guys, Mom and Dad, Donna and Bruno. I always like to see the groom and his mom before the wedding. I think it’s very touching to see the mom (Donna) saying good-bye.

We all met up back at Marie’s house for the Rolls ( GOODFELLAS) pictures then off to the St. Lucy for the mass and wedding.

The priest, Father Alfonso Picone, is the family priest from Garfield, who, if I heard him correctly, was performing his second marriage ceremony, the first having been for Sylvia!

Of course, the wedding went off perfectly. At the reception line in the church we try to photograph all the quests.

Then off to “Russo’s on the Bay” next to Kennedy airport. Personally, this was the most anxious part of the day for us. I was concerned that we (all) would get stuck in traffic but to show you the “luck of the Sabani’s” that too went great. Every thing stayed on time.

Russo’s on the Bay is just an amazing place. The facilities, food and service are simply the best! They have a great reputation for service and they clearly went overboard for Amy and Dan. We have included a lot of “food” pictures but they don’t do the quality and quantity of the food justice.

The best part? That had to be when the stage spread apart, the lights dimmed, a set of 6 foot wide stairs moved out from the stage into the center of the reception room, THEN a silhouette of Amy and Daniel appeared on the back wall, the curtain lifted as Amy and Daniel made their entrance for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Varano.

The rest of the night was music, food, talking, laughing, dancing, fun, then fabulous desserts! The pictures tell the story.
